MoVida began its journey two decades ago when Spanish-born Chef Frank Camorra and his business partner Andy McMahon transformed a rundown Italian joint into a vibrant Spanish bar and restaurant tucked away in a Melbourne lane Their vision was to introduce Australians to the lively favours and convivial atmosphere of Spanish dining, drawing inspiration from the bodegas and dining rooms of Frank’s homeland.
Taking bold risks and challenging conventions, MoVida quickly became a trailblazer in the Australian culinary scene Embracing the concept of shared dining with tapas and raciones, MoVida redefined the way Melburnians approached eating out, focusing on showcasing traditional Spanish methods using the best possible local ingredients MoVida gnarnered critical acclaim, earning awards such as the Dish of the Year accolade from the Age Good Food Guide.
Over the years, MoVida has evolved and expanded, with a presence along Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, in Sydney, and even abroad New venues like MoVida Next Door, MoVida Aqui, and MoVida Auckland each offer a unique interpretation of Spanish cuisine while elebrating the diversity of local produce Despite its growth, MoVida remains rooted in its founding philosophy of honouring Spanish culinary traditions while embracing modern techniques and local produce.

"Every MoVida location has its unique character depending on its setting. MoVida Bangkok stands out because we're bringing Spanish tapas to a city that already has a culture of sharing food together. What makes this place special is the fusion of Spanish design and service with Bangkok's vibrancy. Additionally, collaborating with local chefs and suppliers adds new dimensions to our cuisine; something we can only achieve here."
